The Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) is seeking photographs that illustrate the beauty and challenges of the Mystic River Watershed, which includes Somerville.

Contest categories include Plants, Wildlife, Landscape, and Recreation & Appreciation. Photos must be taken within the Mystic River Watershed and be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011. Amateur photographers are encouraged!

The winning photos will be published in various media, posted on www.MysticRiver.org, and possibly included in MyRWA's 40th Anniversary (2012) calendar.

Photos should be emailed to PhotoContest@MysticRiver.org or mailed to MyRWA on a CD or flash drive to: MyRWA Photo Contest, Mystic River Watershed Association, 20 Academy St., Suite 306, Arlington, MA 02476.

The Mystic River Watershed Association works to improve environmental conditions for the nearly half-million residents within the 22-community Mystic River Watershed.
