Alewife Birding
— Danehy Park
October 27, 2006 — Karsten E. Hartel

Birding Danehy Park this AM 0800-0900

While I can't add much to Bob Stymeist's list for the 26th of October, there appeared to be at least as many birds present with perhaps more Song Sparrow and Junco. The 12 or so Palm Warblers are still there and I had two adult male American Kestrel following each other around. I can add one new species .. a nice adult Field Sparrow and a juvenile White-crowned Sparrow which were seen here earlier in the month but not earlier in the week.

Amazing number of sparrows ... almost too many for one person to survey.
