Today I birded some little known Cambridge spots, though many of you who subscribe to Arlington Birds are familiar with Danehy Park, a multi-use park behind the Fresh Pond Mall. I recently led a series of walks there on Wednesdays and tallied an impressive 90 species since Sept. 27. Thought Massbirders would like to know about this spot which is especially good for weed loving birds.

Peregrine Falcon 1 chasing kestrel at Danehy, same bird chasing pigeons at Alewife T. For those not familiar with the Rindge Tower Peregrine, this adult bird has been coming back to the same building since 1999 and is often "glued" to the side of the tower closest to Route 2- easy scoping from Russell Field parking lot. One further note- twice this week I have seen a Peregrine chasing pigeons, this morning with one it it's talons at the corner of Alewife Brook Parkway and Broadway on the Somerville/Arlington line. I am pretty sure this is a differnt bird from that at Rindge Towers.
