Bird observations
added to website April 30, 2006

I was passing up Route 2 when I saw a large bird attempting to land on the light fixture at the Route 16 intersection.
This is usually a spot for Red Tails but out of the corner my eye it appeared much larger.

Turned around and went into Alewife.
I took a picture of this bird. First time I've ever encountered what must be a Killdeer. There were two of them adjacent to the car park.

Also a red-winged Blackbird and a Swallow at the nest.

Must have counted at least 20 different Mourning Doves.
