Vernal pool searching at Alewife
- Minuteman Regional High School Plans by Nicole Belliveau, a student at Minuteman Regional High School in Environmental Technology, January 2003 Minuteman Regional High School Environmental Technology students will be visiting likely vernal pool Sites in the Alewife Reservation area in order to document the pools used by one or more groups of species that rely upon vernal pools. Minuteman students will identify, collect and submit documentation according to the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program "Guidelines for the certification of Vernal Pool Habitat." You may download a copy of the NHESP Vernal Pool certification guidelines and observation form by clicking here. Fieldwork will begin as soon as the weather permits. |
